   Auntie’s Embroidery & Sewing

~The Foundation for Lymphedema Lives with ME! ~

is a home base operation that is settled in the heart of North Charleston, SC and is in the vicinity of the Charleston International Airport, Air Force Base and Boeing. Its mission is to dream, create and inspire in designing a quality product to serve the health care system for safety and to protect those who are in need of healing.

Through the threaded skills of the 2 Melco EMT 16X Embroidery and a Juki sewing machine, saddle tote bags for the electric wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, seat and arm covers are a product that will give the individual more freedom in their mobility.

Since 2010, I have been a vendor in the farmers market in the tri country area of Charleston, SC in the areas of North Charleston,

James Island, Daniel Island, Moncks Corner, Summerville, and Walterboro.

During the Covid 19 Pandemic, 2,700 face masks was produced.

A special thank you! to my elementary, high school classmate and lifetime friend Rosie Loftis and her husband Mike, who served as regional manager for AeroCare in sewing their company face masks.

Customer orders of ONE or more items are welcome because we support small businesses!

Thank you to all of you for your love, support and continuous customer service and I look forward to serving you again!

Blessing's flow through stitches,

Maeling L. Schenck

A Special Thank You!

A very special thank you! to Mr. Bobby Herbert (Owner), my high school classmates and lifetime friends, Allen & Barbara (Herbert) Hinton, for being the ground support in displaying the saddle tote bags in their showroom, located at

Herbert's Mobility, 1930 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC

(843) 571-1515.

Designer embroidery saddle tote bags for the electric scooters,

giving the individual more freedom in their shopping and mobility.

A Dedication to Richard Keune

Richard Keuene and I are both graduates of North Charleston High School, SC. During those years, he was an active baseball and drum player. After graduation, he developed Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia in his legs, which left him in a wheelchair, but his winning spirit has kept him with an active life in marriage to his wife Sarah, playing the drums, and enjoying family and friends. He is also the inspiration in the development of the saddle tote bags for the electric and manual wheelchairs, scooters and walkers, which the patterns are copies from his electric wheelchair.

During my employment with Walmart at the Centre Pointe location in North Charleston, I served in the position of Dry Goods Grocery Associate, which I observed customers who are in wheelchairs attempting to push a grocery cart and I thought, that is a safety issue and for those who have grocery bags hanging from their wheelchairs, it must be challenging to manage all of those bags.

With the saddle bags on his chair giving him more freedom in his shopping and mobility and with Sarah at his side, he will forever

rock n roll to the beat of his own drum.

Lymphedema Lives with ME!

Is an attitude towards living a quality lifestyle with this lifetime condition that affects millions of men and women throughout the world due to the removal of melanoma or breast cancer, generation hereditary or damage to the lymph nodes.

~There is no cure, however, it is treatable~

My journey and success with this condition, stems back to my attitude towards faith, leadership, a daily practice of Chinese herbal medicines.

  • Astragalus - This herb is promoted to kill cancer cells, reduce the toxic effects of chemotherapy, help heal burns, protect against heart disease, fight the common cold, and help improve overall weakness. Can also stimulate the spleen, liver, lungs, circulatory, and urinary system, and help treat arthritis, asthma, and nervous conditions, lower blood sugar levels and blood pressure.
  • Ginger Root - This herb is used to prevent nausea, vomiting and motion sickness: as an anti-flammatory, a cold remedy, aid to digestion, intestinal gas, and to help relieve nausea in cancer patients who are having chemotherapy, promoted for arthritis, joint and muscle pain.
  • Turmeric - May prevent and slow the growth of a number of types of cancers, particularly tumors of the esophagus, mouth, intestines, stomach, breast, and skin. Is also promoted mainly as an anti-flammatory herbal remedy to produce fewer side effects than commonly used pain relievers.
  • Horse Chestnut - Reduces the swelling in varicose veins.

Also, a mixture of Chinese Herbal Teas; Chinese Green, Jasmine, Ginger and Oolong. A high protein diet and exercise / yoga is also a daily practice.
